Columbia University offers one of the largest and most diverse athletics programs in the nation, with 31 men’s and women’s varsity teams competing at the highest intercollegiate level, NCAA Division I. Gifts from alumni, parents, and friends are critical to helping Columbia Athletics achieve excellence on par with the University’s outstanding academics.
Columbia Athletics Sports Programs and The Fund for Excellence
Provide vital immediate support for Columbia's 31 men's and women's varsity sports programs and The Fund for Excellence.
Annual gifts to individual sports programs and The Fund for Excellence directly support the programs’ most critical needs. Your generosity helps buy new training gear and equipment, enhance recruiting and travel budgets, sustain ongoing operating budgets, build and maintain new facilities, and create new initiatives that promote student-athlete well-being. Every gift counts!
Individual Sport Endowment Fund
Go Lions! Make the future of your favorite varsity sports program more secure.
An endowment gift is one of the most powerful gifts a donor can make to an athletics program. Endowment funds provide a lasting source of support, and can be directed toward a variety of priorities: underwriting the acquisition and upkeep of state-of-the-art equipment, student- athlete training trips, operational funds to assist with annual budgetary needs, and more.
The Campbell Sports Center
Be part of the flagship effort of Columbia’s Athletic renewal.
The Campbell Sports Center, the first new building on the Baker Athletics Complex in more than 60 years, will have a transformative effect on Columbia Athletics. The building will provide state-of-the art training and learning facilities for nine of Columbia’s outdoor sports programs. Naming opportunities include a multi-media theater-style classroom, an elite strength and conditioning center, a new student-athlete lounge and hospitality pavilion, the Football coaches’ office suite and other head coaches’ offices, and an athletics heritage gallery. Assistant Coach Endowment Fund
Help attract premier assistant coaching talent to Columbia Athletics.
Provide lasting support for Columbia Athletics by endowing an assistant coaching position in any of the 31 varsity intercollegiate sports programs. Help your favorite program compete with Ivy League competitors for top recruits by ensuring that top assistant coaching talent is in place.
Head Coach Endowment Fund
Roar, Lions, Roar! Help Columbia attract and retain top head coaching talent.
By endowing a head coaching position, you demonstrate your faith in Columbia's commitment to create an athletics program on par with its academics and your commitment to the same goal. A fully-endowed position provides long-range security for the sports program and helps make sure excellent coaches continue to call Columbia Athletics home.
