Thousands of Columbians Set a New Record on Giving Day

On Columbia Giving Day 2018 (October 24), University alumni, students, faculty, parents, and friends stood for the Columbia causes they care most about. Together, thousands of donors gave a record $20.1 million for financial aid, groundbreaking research, athletics, the arts, and other programs, exceeding the previous year's total by nearly $5 million. Columbians from all 50 states and 63 countries contributed a total of 17,103 gifts, sustaining our academic excellence and helping Columbia address world issues from climate change to social justice and more.
